Our Team Members

Laimon W. Godel, Jr., CPA, has over 30 years experience working with individuals, business start-ups and mid sized companies.  He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and earned a BS degree with a major in Accounting from Monmouth University where he was made a life member of the honor society.  Mr. Godel was both an Audit and Tax Senior Accountant with the "Big Four" CPA firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was the Chief Financial Officer and a Senior Executive for several public and closely held corporations.  He has been a member of the Board of Directors for several national and international firms.  In 2005, Laimon was awarded the Certified Information Technology Professional credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

His computer background is both extensive and long standing.  Laimon was named a 2003 Technology Star by Accounting Technology Magazine.  He is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor in both the QuickBooks Financial and Point of Sale product lines.  A frequent speaker at professional seminars, Laimon shares his time to help increase the understanding of technology and how to leverage its impact on basic business processes.

Laimon is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Tennessee and Georgia Societies of CPAs, the Military Order of the Devil Dogs, the Marine Corps League, and other organizations.

Angela Sparks Godel, CPA, joined the firm August 1, 2010.  Angela was certified in 1982 and has experience in many areas of taxation, including Individual, Business, Estate and Not for Profit tax returns.  Prior to joining the firm Angela was with the Knoxville CPA firm of McWilliams & Company, which merged into Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC.  Her extensive experience adds a new dimension to our firm.  Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Angela is a graduate of West High and The University of Tennessee.  Angela serves as Vice President of Membership for the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPA's and heads up the Angel Tree committee.  A long time member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, she has served on numerous mission trips abroad and is a member of the Knoxville Christian Arts Ministry Choir.
 

Lila Godel, MCSE, has over 10 years of extensive hands on computer support experience.  She provides help desk support for select clients who are on our phone support plan.  Lila has not only set up Microsoft Client / Server Networks, she has even built PC's from the ground up.  Many of our clients just drop in with their malfunctioning PC's to let Lila do one of her fast PC tune ups.  In addition, she is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor and has extensive experience with Windows NT Servers, Windows 2003 Server, Small Business Server, Terminal Server and other network products.  She is a graduate of DeKalb Insitiute of Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
